Death

Today, I came home with a bad news. Upon hearing this, there's always full of why(s).
Why does good people deserve to die at such a young age?
Why does healthy people die even though they exercise regularly?
Why does death occurs when you least expected it?
Why does God takes good people away?
With my many whys, I fear death, death of people around me whom I love dearly. I'm afraid that God will take them away from me.
Mom told me that God gave everyone a lifespan, some might live till 90 years old and others 40 years old, but why does those who contributed greatly to the society gets shorter lifespan than those who did not? Why are those who are in jail gets to live longer than those who are working hard and paying taxes?

Death is something that no one can escape, death is scary, but seeing people around you dying is worst.

How to: Shopping on Taobao (淘宝) Part 1

Today, I'm gonna talk about my favourite topic - SHOPPING! And yes, it's all about shopping on Taobao (淘宝) a China website similar to Ebay. You can practically get anything...yes ANYTHING! From clothes, handphone accessories to home electronics. You can also get wedding necessities from that site. Basically, it has a huge database of sellers that sell all sort of stuff you can/cannot imagine.
One downside, of course, you gotta understand Chinese to fully utilize the site. Then again, what's Google translate for, right?!

I've even got a few of my friends hooked on Taobao!

Step 1: Create an account with Taobao

You don't need an agent to ship stuff from Taobao, all you need to do is register an account here. Likewise, you can click 免费注册 (Free Registration) at the top left corner of their main page.

The link will redirect you to the registration page, click on "English" and the page will translate which makes registration a breeze.

Step 2: START SHOPPING!

Alright, before you start to add everything to your cart there are a few thing you need to know (Refer to pictures below.)

#1: 金牌卖家 is an acknowledgment from Taobao (chosen by them out of the hundreds and thousands of seller).

#2: The name of the seller/shop.

#3: The rating of the shop according to the customers' rating and transactions.

#4: The cute bubble turns blue when the seller is online, you can chat with the seller if you've any doubt.

#5: Enter the shop to take a look at the different items they're selling.

#6: Bookmark the shop if you like that they're selling.

#7: Original price of the item, and below it is the discounted price.

#8: Keep a look out on 快递:免运费 which means "Free Shipping". And always try to find free shipping!

#9: Quantity

#10: Add item to cart.

#11: Save the item for further reference.

#12: The item's name

#13: Item details.

Make sure that the item you're buying has positive reviews (to avoid being scammed).
#14 shows the reviews of the customers that bought from the seller.

I always clicked on #16, which shows the real photo of the items. And #17 is where the review will be displayed.

#15: The past transactions made.

A confirm pop-up window will appear once you've added the item/s to cart. You choose to proceed to payment or continue shopping.

Step 3: Payment

Tick the item you wanna ship over and click on the orange button beside the total cost of your items.

Your Singapore address should be appear in the yellow box follow by your HP No. at the side, if the address is incorrect click on #18 to change the shipping detail. #19 is for you to add new address.

Make sure that #20 is ticked, there should be a pop-up window about the three different international forwarders.

I've only used 4PX as it has the highest rating and based on my past experience, they're very efficient!
4PX (not sure about other forwarder though) will send a text when your item arrived at the warehouse, they will also notify you when they're out for delivery so make sure you've assign someone at home to collect your parcel!

Shipping is relatively cheap, 43RMB for the first Kg and 12RMB for every 500g thereafter.
Once you've chosen the forwarder, click the orange button again!

#21 shows your total amount including the item shipping cost (to warehouse), where/ which warehouse the seller should ship to and where the parcel will forward to, in my case it will be shipped to my SG address. Double check that the SG address is correct, follow by your name and contact detail. Proceed payment by clicking the orange button.

Step 4: Payment Page

Payment doesn't require a China credit card as long as the correct option is selected!

#22 VERY IMPORTANT! Make sure that the 海外其他地区 is selected else you won't be able to make payment!!

#23 The amount you will need to pay which includes transaction fee.

Finally... click on #24 and you're done!!!!

Now seat back and wait for 4PX text and next blog post about warehouse shipping to Singapore!
I hope you guys enjoy this post and most importantly, hope this helps to clear the doubts of "How do I shop on Taobao".
Happy Shopping (:

Majolica Majorca Chapter 41: Lash King (Renew) and Perfect Automatic Liner

You know how I am darn anal about the "right" mascara and eyeliner. I would never ever use anything that would smudge and turn me into panda eyes.
Both items are a staple in my makeup stash collection, and it's a must for me to apply at least a liner or mascara.

And today, I am putting the Majolica Majorca Lash King to test! This is the renew/ improved version of Lash King formulated with creamy wax, increased amount of "volume-increasing powder Enhanced volumizing" effect -THATS A VERY LONG TERM -_- In short, they've increased the formula of creating the lengthening effect.

Omg. As I am typing this blogpost, my brother came in and told me about the MH17 ): I read it on Facebook just now and thought it was a scam 'cos it was just a short article!

I really hope 200 over passengers on board are alright or at least let there be survivors! It's not their fault that MH17 flew over a war zone right.
Now is probably the time to stay "grounded"!

So back to topic! Here's my naked eyes, and my pathetic lashes (sob).

This me me, half way done with my eye make up.

My lashes side profile, notice how short my lashes are.

Majolica Majorca Lash King comes with a medium head brush (I love mascara with brush!)

Left eye with 1 coating of Lash King and Right eye naked lash. I know it's not as obvious on picture, but my left eye has a darker and volumized lash whereas right eye is just.... normal?

Side profile of my lashes (applied on both eyes!), they're longer and more noticeable! I love how it curls my lashes even though I did not use a curler.
On my first application, I was really surprised that it was pretty natural neither did it clump.
I would usually apply 2-3 coats, and the only complaint is that I tend to get to much product on the brush. Heh.

Wearing power:
I wear it for a good 5 hours and here's the look of it at the end of the day, with minimum smudge!

Here's another look of it after working for 8-9 hours. My work requires me to wear full/heavy makeup hence I applied more coats.
Notice how my eyeliner has already smudged ): but mascara still standing strong and there's no flaking!

Next is the Perfect Automatic Liner in Shiny pearl, it acts as a "highlighter" for your eyes by simply drawing along your water line and inner corner of your eyes.

The soft pointed tip makes drawing a thin line a breeze!
The liner is also resistant to perspiration, skin oils, and tears.

The pretty metallic pink on the back of my hand, had to twist out more product to be able to capture it.

Majolica Majorca Chapter 41 is exclusively in Watsons stores from 26th June ’14 onwards.
Stand a chance to win the new Majolica Lash King when you like this post and tag 3 of your bffs!
 Good Luck (:

KOREA (SEOUL) DAY 6 and 7 : Roaming the Streets of Seoul

Before we start our day at Ewha, we had quick bits at a Japanese restaurant. Oh the fried chicken along the street was super yums! Wish we had something like this in SG ): Authentic at least!

Ewha University is really huge... and beautiful. Every concern was so picturesque. The tall buildings/ museums were magnificent.

Dinner was some random place along street of Myongdong, the black pork was DAEBAK!!!!!
Best BBQ pork I've ever eaten!!

After dinner we were so full but just had to try this famous ginseng soup we happened to pass by.
It was pretty meh.... Heard that ginseng soup isn't their "local" dishes and only attract tourists.

We were soooooo bloated after ginseng soup and that's all for day 6!

The night was spent groceries Shopping @ Lotte Mart, Seoul Station. One of the biggest mart in Seoul, 3 girls got carried away and we had to lug 3 big boxes back home. HAHAHA.
